2. Intergenerational Program: Called to Follow Jesus
This program explores the dynamics of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ: experiencing a personal call, following Jesus, and changing one’s heart. Becoming a disciple is explored through the stories of New Testament disciples who accepted Jesus’ call to follow him. Inspired by the New Testament disciples and the example of Jesus, participants discover what it means to follow Jesus today and how they can practically live out discipleship in their lives and homes.
Design (90-120 minutes) Opening Prayer (10 minutes) Part 1. All Ages Learning Experience: Jesus Calls People to Follow Him—New Testament Stories (20-30 minutes)

3. Intergenerational Program: Living as a Disciple
This program explores what it means to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. At the heart of living as a disciple is shaping our lives on the pattern of Jesus’ life. This is no simple process nor is there only one way of expressing the pattern of Christ’s life in our own. This session guides people in reflecting on the teaching and example of Jesus from the Gospels and discovering practices to live their everyday lives as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Design (90-120 minutes) Opening Prayer Part 1. All Ages Learning Experience: Opening Our Lives to Jesus and Discipleship (25 minutes) Part 2. In Depth Learning Experience: Living as a Disciple Today (75-90 minutes)

4. Intergenerational Program: Discipleship
This intergenerational session explores Discipleship - what does it mean to be a follower of Jesus in the world today. Jesus drank water from an unlikely person. And, you’ll think about Jesus’ promise of living water. Francis of Assisi was born in Italy in the 12th century and became a faithful follower of Jesus. We remember Francis for his poverty, simplicity, and love of all of God’s creation. Learn about Francis and then choose one or two activities to help you further explore his life. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor who was killed during World War II. Learn about his life, and listen to a piece of music that may have encouraged him when he was in prison.
Design (60-90 minutes) Using faith-forming activities on Vibrant Faith @ Home, this session is designed to be conducted in about 90 minutes, and can be adapted for a shorter or longer timeframe. 1. Gather: Living Water 2. Grow: Francis of Assisi 3. Go Forth: Dietrich Bonhoeffer
